SMSU is offering our licensure courses and Masters Degree in Special Education that makes it more accessible for busy teachers. We are now offering our graduate-only licensure classes ON-LINE in the summer sessions. The core and research classes are offered in fall and spring semesters as a hybrid of on-line delivery with limited seat time on selected Saturdays. Field placements can be scheduled for summer, fall or spring semesters. Courses this summer include: ECSE: SPED 622 Foundations in ECSE: Birth to 6 (3 cr.) SPED 642 Programming for ECSE: Birth to 6 (3 cr.) LD SPED 620 Characteristics of Students with Learning and Behavior Disorders (3 cr.) SPED 644 Teaching and Achievement Strategies for Learning Disabilities (3 cr.)
